WALL-E is an American CGI animation film directed by Andrew Stanton and released in 2008. The screenplay co-written by Stanton and Jim Reardon is based on an original story by Stanton and Pete Docter. It is the ninth from Pixar Studios. The film, set in the future, follows the story of a cube-shaped robot named WALL-E, designed with a myriad of other such robots to clean up the Earth of its waste. Over the years, he becomes the last one to function. He falls under the spell of another robot, the very opposite of him in looks and manners, named EVE, and follows her into space for an adventure that will change the fate of humanity.
