Rugrats is an American animated television series created by Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain for Nickelodeon. The series focuses on a group of toddlers, mainly Tommy, Chuckie, Angelica, and the twins Phil and Lil, and their daily lives, usually involving life experiences that become much bigger adventures in the imagination of the main characters. The series first aired on August 11, 1991.
Charles Crandall Norbert “Chuckie“ Finster, Jr. is the adorable best friend of Tommy and acts as the series’ deuteragonist (in Rugrats in Paris: The Movie, however, he serves as the protagonist). Chuckie’s mother Melinda died from an illness when Chuckie was a few months old.
